FAQs

Why aren’t you charging for your photography?
I have a great 9-5 job. So I am using this opportunity to fulfill my desire to volunteer with beloved family pets in our community, and broaden and improve my photography skills at the same time. There are great photographers all over town competing to be the best, but I feel that at a time when a family is facing the loss of a pet, shelling out $500 for those services might be hard to swallow.

How far are you willing to travel?
Right now, I will keep myself in South Austin only. If there is a need to branch out, I hope to be able to recruit some fellow pet and photography enthusiasts to volunteer their time and talent in other parts of town.

How do I contact you?
If you and your veterinarian have come to the conclusion that your aging or ailing pet may not be with you much longer, have your vet or someone in his or her office contact me, and I will in turn get in touch with you. Why the double layer of contact? Simply for my protection.

What pets are you willing to photograph?
Dogs primarily, cats too. Snakes are out of the question. We can discuss others.

When are you available?
After 5 p.m. and on weekends.

Where will you be taking these photographs?
Natural lighting is my favorite lighting, and South Austin has a great choice of parks and beautiful locations to capture our great Texas sunlight. If your pet isn’t able to travel to a nearby park, we can discuss other possibilities within both of our comfort levels.

When you photograph an aging or ailing pet for my family, how do we get the photos?
After a photo session, I will process and edit the photos and burn the best ones to CD. I’ll mail the CD to you within two-three weeks.

Where did this idea come from?
Read about Jazz.
